I had a doctors appointment on Thursday October 15th (my actual due date). Dr. Ech checked me and said I wasn't dilated or thinned out at all. I was sooooo upset. He said that he wanted me to get an ultrasound and he was going to put me on a monitor just to make sure everything was still good with him. He listened to his heart beat and said everything sounded good but he wanted to just check. So I got sent to another doctors office to get that stuff done. The ultrasound showed that he was measuring big. Dr. Nezat wanted to check me and she said that I was dilated to a 2 and 50% thinned out. (That was like 1 hour after the first doctor told me I was NOTHING!) She felt that since it was already my due date and that he was measuring "big", we would put me in the hospital Friday night to induce me. I was so nervous!!

So, it is now Friday October 16th. I waited on the hospital to call and tell me that they were ready for me to come on in. Well, at 7:00p.m. they called and were ready. We got in the car and made a pit stop at Georgia Tech to watch a wakeboard documentary. We finally got to the hospital at 9:45p.m. We waited over an hour to get into our room. They hooked me up to the monitors and started an IV of fluids. She said they were going to see if they could get the contractions to stop. Well, they didn't. At midnight the nurse FINALLY checked me to see if I was ready for the cervidil to start the induction. She said, "You are 90% thinned out. You don't even need the cervidil." (So we spent the night at the hospital for NOTHING.) So, they unhooked all the monitors and told me to get sleep. HA....my nerves were so shot and I was so anxious, that I have never felt so dang awake in my life! Poor Daniel, just when he would get good and asleep, I would wake him up just to tell him that I couldn't sleep.

Jump forward to 7:00a.m. on Saturday October 17th. The nurse comes in to start the pitocin. Contractions continue and at 8:30 a.m. my midwife Mary finally comes in. She told me that there were a few things that were concerning her. Before she even told me what they were, I said "I am going to have a c-section?" She said, probally yes. I started crying and telling her and Daniel that I DID NOT want one. She said that each time I had a contraction, his heart rate would drop really bad after each one. (She said that if his heart rate would drop some DURING a contraction, that was ok. But it is not good for it to happen after the contraction.) She told me that we were going to try a few things to try and get it to stop. First thing she did was break my water. (She was afraid that there was meconium in there.) Well there wasn't. She said it was clear. I asked her if I should get an epidural. She said, "Oh, your getting an epidural. That way if we need to rush you in for a c-section, we are ready." That's when I knew it was pretty serious and that I might really have to get a c-section. So in comes the guy to give me my epidural. ( I LOVED him. He was one of my favorite people at the hospital.) Well, I could only lay on my right side because if I layed any other way, his heart rate would still drop.

I had to stay like that until 11:00a.m. My midwife came back in and said she was going to check me. Good news..........I was dilated to a 10!!! Wahooooo. She said they were going to get the room ready and I was going to start pushing in 30 minutes! I started crying and my midwife asked why I was crying now. I told her it was because I didn't have to have a c-section. So at 11:40a.m. I started pushing and at 12:41p.m. our sweet baby angel.....Isaac Madison Lockett was born to us! He was 8 lbs 11oz and 22 inches long! BIG BOY!!! It was really an easy labor and delivery (minus the scare). It was one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced!!!!

I still just stare at him and wonder how I gave birth to one of the most sweetest, perfect, purest little angels!! We are so blessed.

On Tuesday October 20th we took him in for his first vist and he had already gained 2 ounces since we left the hospital.

At his two week check up he weighed 9 pounds 8.5oz and was 22 1/2 inches!!

One week and counting!!

I have exactly one week until my due date! I have to give a shout out to my wonderful hubby who painted and put up the chair rail and crown moulding. We, as you can see, went with a cowboy theme. I LOVE the way it turned out. A few of the decorations were given to us and I have picked up a few. I found a website where they will put your childs name in rope. As you can see, it is just the perfect touch to his room. Now all we need is our sweet little cowboy!! We can not wait!

Wild Man!!!!

Last saturday we went to 3D baby in Stockbridge and had a 3D ultrasound done!! He weighs about 2 1/2 pounds and is measuring in the 54th percentile. We got a movie of him that last about 38 minutes (sorry, I will not be posting that....it would take forever). I still feel amazing and think that it is the most amazing thing every single time he kicks, punches, flips in my belly. I am just so in love with this little guy already and can NOT wait to meet him!!

Pink Nothings Shout out...

I WON, I WON!!! (Daniel really wanted a bibical name.) We toyed around with so many names but kept coming back to this one. Daniel finally made up his mind an decided to go with it.

We have half of his furniture for the nursery in and are picking up his crib Friday!!!! However, we want to have the nursery all painted before we put the furniture in. As soon as we get it up, I will post some pictures. We are doing the nursery in a Cowboy theme. (Another one of Daniel's ideas.) I am really excited about it. My Mom and I have found some really cute things for the nursery.

**Just a side note**
Being pregnant has been one of the most AMAZING experiences of my life!! (Of course being married to a wonderful man is another.) I just lay around and watch him kick and punch me all day. I have felt GREAT and have had no problems so far. Please continue to pray that it stays that way and that I have a smooth labor and delivery!!!!

I want one!

Of those little banner thingy's that counts down when our baby is due!! I have been telling Daniel since I was 7 weeks pregnant that we were having a boy and "boy" was I right. Of course Daniel is so thrilled! His mind has been going one hundred miles an hour thinking about what all he is going to get him into. We have a name in mind but aren't going to say for sure until another week or so to see if we really like it. We have been trying for a while and could not be more happy. Just a little update: We found out on Feb. 4th but waited until we saw the baby and saw the heartbeat before we told anybody. That was the LONGEST 4 weeks of my life, trying to keep it a secret. We went back to the doctor on Tuesday and saw the baby again. "It" was moving around and everything. We also got to HEAR the heartbeat. I cried like a baby. The whole thing is just so amazing to me!! I haven't been sick or anything. So almost everyday I ask Daniel, "Am I really pregnant?" I don't look or feel any different yet. I am ready to show, but I know that all will come soon enough. And yes, we are going to find out what we are having. It will be about 11 more weeks before we find out. I have ultrasound pictures, but I don't have a scanner, so I don't know if I will be posting any of those. When I start getting a "belly", I will post those.

Happy Valentine's day to me!!!!

I usually don't really care about Valentine's Day, but this year has to be the BEST Valentine's Day EVER. I, by far, have the best husband in the world!!!!

My New Names.......

Okay, this one's fun:

1) YOUR REAL NAME:

Jeanie Lockett

2.WITNESS PROTECTION NAME:(mother and father's middle names)

Jean Everett

3.NASCAR NAME:(first name of your mother's dad, father's dad)

Earnest Charles

4.STAR WARS NAME:(the first 3 letters of your last name, first 2 letters of your first name)

Locje

5.DETECTIVE NAME:(favorite color, favorite animal)

Purple Dog

6.SOAP OPERA NAME:(middle name, town where you were born)

Marie Milledgeville

7.SUPERHERO NAME: (2nd fav color, fav drink, add "THE" to the beginning)

The Pink Mt. Chill dough for at least one hour. Drop by tablespoonfuls into powdered sugar; coat thoroughly and roll into balls. Place balls on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Makes 8 dozen. (Because this recipe makes sooooooo many, I usually cut it in half.)

8 Crazy nothings....

8 shows I like to watch:

Big Brother
Survivor
Jon & I can NOT even put into words how UN-FREAKIN-BELIEVABLE it was. When they first came on stage, I cried....yes CRIED!!!! I was just so happy to actually be there. I didn't get to go back in the day and just could not believe I was there. They put on a GREAT show. They opened with there new song "Single" and ended with an oldie...."Hangin' Tough". I was not disappointed at all. Hope you enjoy the pictures and videos. They don't do it justice...at all.

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v17.nonxt7.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3Da8b3b9ad0d96cd68%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331081029%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D47DB36032089B3379124C34D92192BC24ABB7DBF.5608167D8FA63FDDD64707F0A72E3346793F1FE%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3Da8b3b9ad0d96cd68%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DqVhB-3QmMayBy_OBiDKSFgdGKQs&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

Announcing the arrival of......

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5261670929017175890" style="DISPLAY: block; I have had the same hairbrush for at least 3 1/2 years. It has gotten so old that it is starting to hurt my head. I usually pay $4 to $5 dollars for a brush. Well......I broke down and spent $10 on a brush. (Actually, Daniel talked me into getting that one.) I loved my old brush and went straight for the same type and he wanted me to have a "nice" one. Well, I used the brush the first day, result; greasy hair. The next three days; greasy hair. I haven't changed shampoo/conditioner in almost a year. Daniel says there is NO way a brush would make my hair greasy. Has anyone ever heard of this!!! I am throwing this dang brush out and buying me the brush I am use to!! I wanted some updated pictures of Wrinkles, so I asked my brother-in-law, Samuel, to come over and take some pictures of him. I was very pleased with the results. He didn't really want to cooperate, but after me dancing behind Samuels back, calling "kitty, kitty", squeaking a toy, and just plain out being mean to him, I thought we got some pretty good pics. This is a Dachshund festival to support Dachshund Rescue. We entered him into the calendar contest and the "Dachshund Dash". Of course he got into the calendar AGAIN this year! The dachshund Dash didn't go so well. Daniel and I practiced with him SEVERAL times at home and he was the quickest dog I have ever seen. So, we get to the festival and we bribe him with hotdogs. Daniel holds him on one end and I run to the other end flaring my arms around and jump up and down yelling his name. They say GO, Daniel releases him and what does my "quick" boy do? Yep, runs backwards and works the crowd! Oh well! Oh, we also bought him a squeaky toy because he can't resist a squeaky toy. We figured we could squeak it and he would come flying to me. Instead he turned his nose up at it! Silly boy. You can see in the second and third pictures just how interested he was in his brand new toy!

Baby steps!!

Well, thanks to Amy Danger, I have figured out how to add other people to my blog.
